Taste Test

Nora Henderson has been basting baby back ribs for as long as she could reach the counter of her dad’s famous barbecue joint. When she’s accepted to Taste Test, a teen reality cooking competition, Nora can’t wait to leave her humble hometown behind. On set, run-ins with the maddeningly handsome and talented son of a famous chef, Christian Van Lorten, make Nora wonder if it’s him or the win she really wants, but as she and Christian emerge as front-runners for the final prize, Nora can’t ignore the mysterious accidents plaguing the kitchen arena. Someone is conducting eliminations of their own, and if Nora doesn’t stop them, she could be next to get “chopped” for good.

With romance and intrigue as delectable as the winning recipes included in the story, this debut novel will be devoured by all.

My Review

MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen, move over and make way fooorrrrrr………Taste Test! I love cooking shows, reality cooking shows, etc. I love to read YA. Taste Test brought the 2 together! The book is well written, and I enjoyed reading it. There is just enough action without overdoing it too much. I had my laughs and “awww” moments through the book. I do wish there had been more about the actual competition

Taste Tests is a cooking reality show for teens. It is held at a college, where they will be living for a semester for the show and to finish their studies. I do like that Fiore added the schooling in there as well.

Throughout the book, Nora learns and grows. She has never spent this much time away from home, cooking in a competition, homework, friends, and a love/hate relationship with a fellow contestant. Nora is no stranger to hard work, had been helping her dad with his BBQ business.

The cover is cute with Nora and Christian behind the skillet.
